Does a verification badge mean Pollitix endorses that person's views? ▾
Absolutely not. Badges only confirm who someone is and what role they hold. A verified MP badge means we've confirmed they are an MP — not that we agree with their politics. All verified users are subject to the same Community Guidelines.
Can a President or Prime Minister join for free? ▾
Yes. Pollitix recognises that heads of state and government joining the platform is in the public interest. We offer complimentary Institutional membership to verified sitting heads of government and state. Contact our partnerships team to begin the process.
What happens if someone loses their role (e.g. an MP loses their seat)? ▾
Badges are reviewed annually and updated when roles change. An MP who leaves office would have their badge updated to "Former MP". We notify users before any badge change is made.
How are world leaders verified? ▾
World leaders are verified through a combination of official government records, direct contact with press offices, and our partnerships team. We work directly with official spokespeople to ensure authenticity.
Can I have more than one badge? ▾
You can hold one primary role badge plus the Citizen badge. Your primary badge reflects your most relevant current role. For example, an MP who is also a former journalist would display the MP badge.
Is my personal information kept private during verification? ▾
